The Luxe-story

No one would have ever imagined that two high school friends, Roy Richards and Broderick Carter, both from Fort Worth, Texas would have become the new faces of Film and Television.  Though they were both budding entertainers, Roy an aspiring musician and Broderick a true comedian, their lives couldn't have been any more different.  

Roy Richards performed in various rap groups and produced music throughout high school and college at Prairie View A&M University where he majored in Film/Television production.  While in college he co-directed several music videos for his own group and other regional acts. This served as the foundation for what would become a career in film as a director.  

After graduating college Roy served as co-directed and director of photography for his 1st feature length film "Confessions of a Player", a low budget indi film which allowed him to grow as a director and create his own shooting style.

 While working as a full-time Law enforcement officer and still producing music on the side, Roy was in the studio producing for a local artist and ran into longtime friend, Broderick Carter, who had been invited to the session.

Now known as Author Broderick Carter, he had become quite the writer while receiving his education at Texas Wesleyan University.  

Broderick published his first book "Beautiful Paradox"  which was followed by "Love for sale" and a series of relationship books. Broderick was also the co-creator and host of a National weekly radio program called "The Love and Relationship show on NexRadio.  While at the studio, Broderick mentioned to Roy that he wanted to do a visual for one of his poems.  After reviewing the script Roy was so impressed with the writing that he suggested making it into a short film which intern became "Water Colors".  

After such a successful 1st venture with a minimul budget, the two film makers decided to create a full fledged film production company called Luxe Film Works. With several projects in the works Luxe became known for their beautiful visual presentations and moving story lines through a series of short films.  Now in the process of producing their first feature length film the Luxe team is prepairing a Beuatiful Cinematic debute.  Be prepared to be entertained and fall in love with movies again.  Introducing the new face of film, Team Luxe.
